3 Different Ways That You Can Use A Conservatory

By Scarlett Morrison 3 min read

So, you’ve got a conservatory, which you had huge plans for when you moved into your home, but it’s just turned into a dumping ground for your bikes and coats. This is the trap that many of us fall into when we have a spare room or a spare space in our home. Even if we have grand plans for a room, sometimes life takes over, or the kids and that idea start to slowly disappear, making our homes feel smaller than they are.

However, this doesn’t have to be the case; with some creativity and smart planning, we can reclaim our home and our conservatories so that they can be used again, so we don’t get that dreaded feeling when we walk past them, and we can create a new room in our home.

But now you’ve emptied it, what do you do with it? Well, we have 3 great easy tasks you can use your conservatory, so you can gain an extra room in your home, and finally put to use the reason that you bought your home in the first place.

1.  A peaceful home office

With so many of us working from home now after covid 19, even if it is just for a few days a week, it’s never been more important to have an at-home office. But with home prices rising, many of us can not afford to make a move to a home that has a spare room for an office. However, many of us forget that we do have an extra room in our homes, in the form of a conservatory. All that you need to do is add some conservatory insulation, a desk, some lighting and a computer, and you have your set-up ready. This space is perfect to form an office that has light in the morning, which can help you to wake up, as well as a connection to the outdoors, which can help to boost and improve mental health.

2.  A dedicated children’s playroom

Toys can be a huge problem in homes, especially small homes, where they can create lots of clutter and become a tripping hazard. This is where creating a dedicated children’s playroom comes in, as it is a bright, centralised zone where you can watch your kids play safely. To create the perfect space, it’s best to put down a rug as well as smart storage solutions like storage boxes to tidy up at the end of the day.

3.  A relaxation tool

Create a comfortable snug to relax in and watch films as a family. With the ability to open the doors, you can have an inside-outside feel all year round and enjoy your garden even when the weather isn’t as nice. All you need to do is fill the conservatory conversion with comfortable lounge seating and cosy beanbags for a tranquil space that you can enjoy alone or with the kids all time a year.
