Kravet launches tile collection with TileBar - tile collection

Kravet, a heritage textile and furnishings brand, has partnered with TileBar to launch an exclusive tile collection. This collaboration brings Kravet’s signature patterns to stone and porcelain.

The partnership expands Kravet’s design language beyond textiles and wallcoverings, offering designers a new way to incorporate recognizable Kravet patterns into residential and commercial interiors.

The inaugural Kravet x TileBar launch includes six collections and 34 SKUs, reimagining motifs from Kravet’s archive through micro-mosaics, carved stone, and decorative porcelain.

The collection uses three distinct techniques: carved stone, hand-placed micro-mosaics, and printed porcelain. A palette of soft whites, metallics, and blues gives the collection versatility across residential and commercial settings.

Eli Mechlovitz, founder of TileBar, said, “Our team worked closely with Kravet to study the scale, rhythm, and texture of each pattern, then partnered with our expert porcelain and stone producers to identify the techniques that would most faithfully translate those details.”

The result is a collection that preserves the character of the original designs while celebrating the natural beauty, texture, and dimensionality that only stone and porcelain can provide. The collection includes designs such as Ellsen, Nautra, Moonwave, Rhodesa, Saltveil, and Elowynn, each with its own unique features and materials.

For example, Ellsen uses hand-placed marble pieces to create a floral-inspired take on the classic star-and-cross motif, while Nautra features a tumbled finish and hundreds of individually placed pieces to create a large-scale, mesh-mounted mosaic inspired by natural waves.

These designs will give designers a new way to incorporate Kravet’s recognizable patterns into their projects, and the use of stone and porcelain will add a new level of depth and texture to the designs. Kravet’s design language has been significantly expanded, and it will be interesting to see how designers choose to use these new tiles in their work.

Kravet and TileBar have created a unique collection that combines the best of both worlds, offering a new way to experience Kravet’s signature patterns. They have successfully translated their designs into a new medium, and the result is a collection that is both beautiful and versatile.
